Dropped off a pallet by the courier and left as a lost cause that was uneconomical to repair.
As you can tell, this amplifier was the subject on an unsuccessful repair.
And then, on its way to have the repair completed by us as there was no one competent in the owners area to complete the repair and sort out the wiring mess with bad and poorly fitted connections.
Returned to customer with the front panel straightened, new switches to replace the broken ones and the pcboard removed, rewired and refitted with the correct size and type of capacitors, plus the cables connecting the pboard to the valve output stage were replaced for reliability.
All within budget!
